The Australian Jazz Convention began in 1946 and has run continously since then.
The AJC is the longest running Convention of its
kind in the world.
It is held in a different town in Australia every year,
begins on 26th December, and concludes on New Year's Eve.
Each Convention has a planning stage of 2 years,
and a group can bid at the AGM held at each Convention.
